Finland has been named the happiest country in the world for the seventh year running. This is according to the 2024 World Happiness Report.
The report ranks more than 140 countries around the world based on six factors, namely, social support, income, health, freedom, generosity, and the absence of corruption.
South Africa was ranked 83 on the list, which is an improvement from 2023, which ranked Mzansi at 87. This might come as a shock to citizens, as the country has seen a rise in crime and the cost of living in recent months.
