Kaya 959 shines at Liberty Awards
The night was a buzz at this year’s Liberty Radio Awards held at the Sandton Convention Centre on Saturday, 14 April. The awards are a celebration and acknowledgement of excellence in radio and brings the entire industry together for a night of celebration.
Kaya 959’s Afropolitan presenters walked away with three wins in the following categories:
- Best Breakfast Presenter – David O’Sullivan
- Best Business and Finance Show – KayaBiz with Gugu Mfuphi
- Best News and Actuality Show – The Law Report with Michael Motsoeneng Bill

DJ Keys who currently works at the Home of the Afropolitan, Kaya 959, also won an award nominated in his previous role at university radio station, Voice of Wits in the Best Afternoon Presenter category.
