The team were divided on the topic and all except Sandile said no to holding or carrying their partner’s handbag.

It turns out that many straight men tend to be uncomfortable about being seen toting a handbag around in their relationship.
With Sizwe mentioning that it’s not a matter of chivalry because he will carry in all the grocery or shopping bags and his partner won’t need to do that. Just not her handbag.
Not even while she’s browsing a boutique for the perfect dress? Nope. Not even then.
Most men and women, Kaya News’ Keneiloe Huma included felt that it’s unnecessary to ask their partners to carry their handbag.
It’s not even a big ask as Kaya Sports personality, Sandile van Heerden pointed out. It’s a bag that you are simply carrying to either free up your partner’s hands or out as a simple gesture.
