Many people go through life not knowing what their purpose is. Some know instinctively where they’re power lies and how they are adding value to those around them.
If you’re questioning what your purpose is, cut yourself some slack because timing is everything and it all falls into place when you’re exactly where you need to be.
There are a few ways to help guide you to your purpose. Here’s 5 things you can do to achieve your purpose in life.
Read
Books have a way of connecting us to different experiences, eras and places.
Inspiring us to try new things and dream big. Books provide an escape but a good read can also motivate people to tap into their hidden potential.
Cultivate a feeling of gratitude
Certain emotions can promote wellbeing and foster a sense of purpose.
It’s not enough to feel like you’re a small part of something bigger, you also have to feel driven to make a positive difference to the world.
Listen to what people value about you
Seeing yourself through the eyes of those you love and those who love you can be eye-opening.
It can give you a new sense of purpose as you understand how you make a difference in their lives.
Find and build your community
For many, family is their purpose. Becoming a mother or father, husband or wife is what gives a lot of people meaning.
Use these experiences to build the community around you.
Creating a space for other families in your community to gather and take a time out for example can go a long way.
Tell your story
Much like reading can help steer one towards their purpose so to can writing or speaking their truth.
Tell you story, own your journey because you have no idea who will find it inspiring.
