Non-payment for working overtime
According to the UK Sun, Californian labour laws state that performers and crew should receive compensation for working overtime and be classified as employees and not independent contractors.
One singer, Michael Pearson, alleged in court papers that he received a flat rate of $250 “regardless of the number of hours worked”. Pearson further stated that he had no meals or toilet breaks and was “forced to stand or sit on the ground” all weekend during one set.

The lawsuits in question come from a special performance in November 2019 which West debuted at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. At the opera, titled Nebuchadnezzar, complainants claim that West had them working for two days straight with no meals or breaks in between, as reported by The Daily Mail.
Emmanuel EP
West and his Sunday Service Choir recently released a gospel masterpiece, The Emmanuel EP, which he wrote and produced himself.

The record takes a step away from gospel hymns represented in his 2019 album Jesus Is Born and is inspired by ancient and Latin music, which he described as —“a celebration of the miracle of the birth of Jesus Christ.”.
The title for the release translates to “God is with us”, and is an electric out of body sonic experience.
