Officials in Gauteng have had their hands full this morning, with another disgruntled community calling for housing allocation. Illegal occupants of RDP houses and land in Olievenhoutbosch Ext 27, near Centurion, have barricaded roads with rocks and burning tyres in what they say is an attempt to stop the government from evicting them.

Yesterday authorities issued notices that the structures illegally erected by the community in the area will be demolished today. Tshwane Metro Police says the cleanup operation is underway.
