From South Africa to the world – Focalistic and Lady Du are flying the country’s flag high abroad.
The Mzansi stars both appear on a Times Square billboard in New York.
Times Square is one of The Big Apple’s most popular tourist attractions. More than 300 000 people reportedly pass through the commercial intersection daily.
Focalistic and Lady Du’s billboards are for a Spotify ad showcasing the “hottest African music”.
Lady Du could not contain her excitement.
“If you never believed in God please look at my life and be inspired I made the Times Square billboard.
“Check out my song on the African Heat playlist. I’m officially taking my crown guys!!!!! #africanheat My first billboard imagine,” she wrote on Instagram.

Focalistic also celebrated the achievement on his Instagram page.
“Came a long way from 2016. This is a hood dream!! New York Times Square Billboard!!! 2021, we go hard! First of many. BLESS UP @spotify @spotifysa #AfricanHeat to the LEFATSHE.”
Alicia Keys shows Focalistic some love
News of Focalistic’s Times Square billboard comes less than a week after Alicia Keys showed him some love on her YouTube.
The ‘Girl On Fire’ hitmaker shared a video of a recent family outing. She selected Focalistic’s ‘Ke Star’ single for the background music.
“It’s crazy!! This is @aliciakeys & @THEREALSWIZZZ playing Ke Star on a random day!!! ASE TRAP TSE KE PINA TSA KO KASI WORLD WIDE. It’s really possible,” he tweeted.
