Eva Henry, the woman who hit Rachel Kolisi on the head with a rugby ball has apologized, saying it was not intentional.
The 19-year old student from Cape Town took to her TikTok account to post a sincere apology to “the first lady of rugby”, after she spent the past week hiding because of online shame.
Eva says she has been getting a lot of hateful comments from Springbok fans who thought she had targeted Rachel with the rugby ball.
But, the apologetic education student says she did not mean to hit Rachel with the ball that she had attached a pen and letter to.
Eva says she will disclose what the letter contained if her TikTok apology to Rachel blows up.
Her video currently has over 220K views.
“I did not mean to hit the first lady of rugby on the head, it was not my intention. I have been getting tagged since this video came out and people were asking if that was me, and I denied it.
I went MIA (missing in action) for a while because of all the hate comments I was seeing online, but I am going to confess, it was me.
I am sorry Rachel and Siya.”

The moment was captured by Rugby Pass and shared by Siya Kolisi who joked that he should’ve caught it, but said his wife should have known to “always be expecting the ball.”
Rachel said it was one of those moments, like when you trip and fall in public and pray that no one notices.
Siya said his wife was fine, although the knock had her clutching her head and sitting down immediately.
