South African singer, songwriter, and producer Khutso Steven Kgatle, better known as King Monada, like many drivers in SA is feeling the pinch of the high fuel prices.
The situation has worsened in the last two years. Since June 2020, the cost of fuel has more than doubled in the country.
Back in June 2020, motorists who would have spent around R2,444 on petrol per month are now paying a staggering R5,348.
Currently, drivers pay more than R26 per litre for petrol and more than R25 per litre for diesel.

Monada recently shared his latest creation, which was inspired by South Africa’s fuel price increase.
“Due to the highest price of petrol, I have decided to mind my own business,”
He captioned his post as he sat at the back of a newly built, compact truck that can fit one passenger.
