Vusi Thembekwayo’s wife, Palesa Makhetha, has reportedly filed for divorce.
This as the estranged couple’s marriage has been marred by allegations that the businessman has physically abused his wife and cheated on her.
Last year, the motivational speaker denied allegations that he had assaulted his wife, despite being arrested for the incident.
Palesa accused Thembekwayo of dragging her out of bed, slapping her, and demanding that she leaves their home.
However, the businessman claims that he returned home from a business trip to find his wife drunk.
“I flew back to South Africa from an international trip on 6 December, to attend to a situation pertaining to my wife and her longstanding battle with substance abuse.
Her response has been unfortunate and resulted in alleged charges of assault against me.”

The couple who have been together for 13-years have 3 children together.
As reported by The Citizen. the couple’s marriage is now on the rocks, after Palesa has reportedly filed for divorce.
According to the publication, Thembekwayo is said to be doing everything possible to try to save his marriage but it may be too little, too late.
Apart from the GBV allegations, Palesa has also accused her husband of cheating on her, with a woman he reportedly travelled frequently with.
This coupled with the multiple incidents of abuse throughout the 13-years of marriage has pushed Thembekwayo’s wife to file for divorce.
As per reports, Vusi Thembekwayo’s wife is seeking R50 000 a month in rehabilitative maintenance, and R20 000 for each of the three children.
