Photos of late Bacardi music pioneer Vusi Ma R5’s tombstone burnt and vandalized have been circulating all over social media this week.
This comes just over a month after the musician whose real name is Itumeleng Mosoeu was laid to rest at Odi Cemetry in Mabopane, north of Pretoria.
Vusi Ma R5 was shot and killed in the early hours of Monday, 30 January 2023 outside a tavern he was booked to perform.
His brother DJ Cooper told Daily Sun that their family has been struggling to come to terms with his passing and live in fear.
“Our family is not in a good space. They have taken my brother and it’s not easy to accept. We have to move on with life, but how will we live if they do something like this,” he was quoted by the publication.
“If these people can do something like this, what will happen next? Our family is in so much pain and we are fearing for their lives.”
To this day police have not made any arrests in connection with Vusi Ma R5’s passing.
