TikTok is setting a 60-minute daily screen time limit for under-18s.
TikTok has imposed a daily screen time restriction of 60 minutes for users under the age of 18,
Teenagers who reach the new cap will need to input a passcode in order to continue using the service that day.
The Chinese company ByteDance, which owns the video app, claimed it is introducing the feature to aid users in “staying in control” of their use.
According to the social media platform, every account known to belong to a person under the age of 18 will automatically have new default screen time restrictions activated.

The program will notify them that their time is up after the first hour of use each day.
TikTok has claimed that it will be implemented “in the coming weeks”.
