Popular reality TV series The Masked Singer South Africa is set to return to screens for its third season on SABC 2 from Saturday, 4 July 2026 at 7 PM.
The SAFTA Award-winning show will once again be hosted by comedian Mpho Popps, while the celebrity detective panel features Drive 959 co-host Skhumba, singer J’Something, influencer Sithelo Shozi, and media personality Somizi Mhlongo.

According to the SABC, The Masked Singer South Africa Season 3 will be “bigger, bolder and more spectacular than ever before”.
Co-founder and CEO of Rose and Oaks Media, the production company behind the show, Anele Mdoda, said viewers can expect a season packed with surprises.
“You won’t believe your eyes when the personalities behind the Masks are revealed. We’re talking mega-mega stars. And the Masks themselves are absolutely out of this world. Think glitz, glamour, and extravagance on an epic scale,” she said.
Over the years, several well-known South African personalities have taken to The Masked Singer stage in disguise, including former Miss South Africa Shudufhadzo Musida, Bafana Bafana legend Doctor Khumalo, former Springbok captain Victor Matfield, investigative journalist Devi Sankaree Govender, Maps Maponyane, Boity Thulo and Jessica Nkosi.
The latest season will see 16 A-list local celebrities compete while attempting to keep their identities hidden from the judges and viewers. The ultimate goal is to remain unmasked long enough to claim the coveted Golden Mask Trophy.
In Season 1, SAMA-winning singer-songwriter Holly Rey won the competition while performing as Lollipop. Season 2 saw four-time SAFTA-winning actor Warren Masemola take home the title as Giraffe.
Only time will tell who will emerge victorious this season.
The Masked Singer South Africa Season 3 will also be rebroadcast on Thursdays at 9 PM on SABC 1 and Fridays at 1:30 PM on SABC 2.
