Somizi is trying to trace the grandmother (gogo) who was beaten by her grandson in Wallacedene, Kraaifontein, Cape Town.
After the video of the 55-year’s assault went viral, the media personality said his spirit is not alright and he wants to help the gogo receive trauma counselling after the ordeal.
“My spirit is not pashash (alright). Anyone who knows where this granny is from, please hit me up and let me know. I think she needs counselling, trauma counselling, we might take those things for granted but she’ll be forever traumatized.
Something like that will traumatize you emotionally, mentally and spiritually, so please assist.”
Somizi said he wasn’t too concerned about the gogo’s 19-year old grandson because he said that the law will take its course and he will get what is coming to him.
The grandson has since been arrested and charged with assault.
Police say public pressure led to the arrest of the 19-year old who lived with relatives.
According to police the incident took place in June, but the grandmother did not want to submit a statement to police.
The grandmother is said to be in hospital receiving treatment for an ailment that is unrelated to the assault.
