SNAPS! Inside Shimza’s ‘Burning Man Festival’ getaway.
South African disk jockey Shimza has shared some images of his experience at this year’s Burning Man Festival.
Burning Man is a week-long massive desert campout emphasizing community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance. The festival has been hosted annually since 1991 at Black Rock City in northwestern Nevada.
The festival which attracts nearly 80,000 artists, musicians, and activists was marred with some controversy this year after heavy rainfalls led to the passing of one festival goer.
According to reports many festival goers were left stranded as organizers said the roads remained too wet to leave by vehicle.
