Seasoned actress Vele Manenje has taken to social media to rave about her new Skeem Saam co-star, Scelo Buthelezi.
The award-winning Buthelezi, who made a name for himself playing Teddy in the Mzansi Magic drama Gomora, recently joined Skeem Saam as Tobias (Toby) Maswahla.
Buthelezi plays Manenje’s students at Turf High. The actress took a moment to welcome Buthelezi onto the show.
“I want to take this particular moment to officially welcome my onscreen son, @seekay_sa, on Skeem Saam.”
Moreover, she marvelled at his professionalism and commitment to his work.
“You have walked into a huge story with so many intense moments, and you have completely drowned yourself into telling the story with heart and transparency. I can’t wait for people to see you transform and play Toby. CONGRATULATIONS.”
Junior Khanye bags a new television show
Retired South African footballer Junior Khanye is letting the public into his personal life as he tries to pick up the pieces and put back the most important pieces of his life in his new reality show. Divided into a 14-part series called Fixing The Game, Khanye will take fans on an off-the-pitch journey as he fixes his life.
Khanye notes that for him, it is about winning back his family.
“Everyone loves a good comeback story, and ‘Fixing the Game’ is one that we hope viewers will enjoy and also identify with,” says Shirley Adonisi, Channel Director for Local Entertainment Channels. “We bring reality shows like this one not just for entertainment, but hopefully for valuable lessons from some of the most admired public personalities and how they navigate this game called life.”
The former Kaizer Chiefs football star lost it all during his heydays, and he is excited to be getting another chance to fix where he has faltered.
