Congratulations to Skeem Saam actress Elizabeth Serunye, who recently bagged the Best Actress in a TV SOAP Award at the SAFTAs 18.
Elizabeth Serunye is a talented South African actress best known for her role as Principal Thobakgale on the popular TV series Skeem Saam.
Her character is the strict but well-meaning principal at Turfloop High School. Serunye is highly regarded for bringing depth and authenticity to her roles, especially with her portrayal of a character navigating the challenges of managing a school and maintaining authority. She’s become a fan favourite for her powerful performances and relatable storylines on the show.
Warren Masemola and Lesly Musina join Skeem Saam
Skeem Saam recently announced that Warren Masemola and Lesley Musina are set to join the SABC1 daily drama series.
“It’s absolutely beautiful. I actually feel like I’m in Limpopo. Being a city boy who grew up in Tshwane, the set of Skeem Saam makes me feel like I’m back with my people,” said Warren about joining the drama.
Warren Masemola will play Gopane, a Turfloop native who moved to Johannesburg to work as a taxi driver. His sudden appearance a few months after his son Smaki’s mysterious disappearance will have Turfloop families under scrutiny as he vows to uncover the truth behind his son’s disappearance.
Warren Masemola will make his first appearance on November 4, 2024.
Lesley Musina’s Fefo might initially seem like an ordinary, charming, confident, and good-looking man. However, viewers will soon discover a darker side to him, one full of menace and violence.
“Shooting Skeem Saam is a dream come true. What an amazing production. Everyone is so welcoming here, and I immediately felt at home when the cast, crew, and production welcomed me with open arms. It feels like I’ve been here forever,” said Musina.
