Former The Mommy Club star Ratile Mabitsela has posted for the first time on social media since the passing of her reportedly estranged husband, Elias Lehlogonolo Mabitsela, in February.
Ratile reflected on her healing journey over the past month and expressed her deepest gratitude for the love and support she received during her time of grief.
“A month later, and the journey of grief remains heavy. I am deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support from family, friends, colleagues, acquaintances and my online family and friends.
“Each kind word, prayer, and gesture has brought us comfort and healing during this turbulent time. Thank you for standing by us, embracing us with kindness and strength,” Ratile wrote on Instagram.
She also shared a series of pictures from her husband’s funeral and thanked the service provider for providing her husband with a dignified send-off.
“A special thank you to @cartelfuneralhome_ for your compassionate assistance in honoring Mabitsela with a dignified send-off. We could not have done it so well without your dedicated service and commitment,” said Ratile.

Popular South African blog Maphepha Ndaba confirmed Elia’s death by releasing a statement from his family on Wednesday, 12 February.
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother and son, Elias Lehlogonolo Mothapo Mabitsela. We are still coming to terms with this devastating loss and kindly request that our family be given the space and privacy we need during this incredibly difficult time,” the Mabitsela family said in the statement.
Elias, who shared three kids with Ratile, had a few appearances alongside Ratile on the popular Showmax reality show The Mommy Club seasons 1 and 2.
The couple was unfortunately marred with rumours of divorce, allegations of physical abuse and infidelity in the days leading up to Elias’ death.
