After several reports that popular nightclub Taboo Sandton would be closing down, the establishment confirmed that it is shutting down its operations through an official statement.
“It is with great sadness that we have to officially announce the imminent closure of Taboo Sandton.”
The Taboo group extends “its sincere and heartfelt gratitude to its staff, partners, suppliers, artists and everyone that has supported them throughout the years.”
The nightclub may be closing its doors but other establishments within the group will continue to operate.
Before his untimely passing in 2021, founder Chris Coutroulis said when he started this business he was 19 and was determined to “leave a legacy of nightlife entertainment.”
He immediately knew from the onset that “it would be achievable.
