South African hip-hop artist Anele Zondo recently hosted a Sip and See to celebrate the arrival of her newborn baby.
Anele and her partner welcomed their bundle of joy in July 2024, and the intimate gathering allowed close friends and family to meet the little one while enjoying drinks and light refreshments.
Unlike a baby shower, which takes place before birth, a Sip and See is held a few weeks or months after, giving loved ones the chance to “see” the baby while “sipping” on beverages such as tea, coffee, or even cocktails. It provides a relaxed setting for parents to introduce their newborn without the traditional games and gift-opening often associated with baby showers.
Sharing moments from the special day, Zondo expressed her joy, writing: “A sip for the princess 👑: Baby Moä’s Sip and See with my nearest and dearest. My heart and cup = FULL.”
