Pearl Thusi has taken to social media to remember her late mother, sharing a heartfelt note with her followers.
In her message, Pearl expressed her curiosity about what her mother would think of her and their relationship with her own children. She pondered questions like, “What would you look like now? Will I ever see you again? Are you okay?”
During times of heartache, Pearl still finds comfort in the memories of her mom. While acknowledging that her mother’s birthday remains a painful reminder, Pearl hopes it will transform into a day of meaning.
“Maybe one day I can turn the worst day of my life into something meaningful. Until then- on this day I will hide away and work through these emotions of why you had to leave. And why I must continue going without you. It will never make sense.”
Pearl concluded by affirming that her love for her mother will never fade.
A few months back, chatting to L Tido on his podcast, Pearl Thusi opened up about how she lost her parents. The actress revealed that her mom contracted HIV from her dad and that there was a stigma attached to the disease at the time.
“My parents also went through a lot and as much as it’s important to talk about HIV and the stigmas and the fact that we have progressed so far ahead now – the last thing I need is for people to look at my parents and just think about that…”
