Real housewives of Durban reality star Nonku Williams has re-launched her wine brand, Ashes to Beauty (A2B) Winery two years after a first failed attempt.
In a series of shared posts on Instagram, Nonku revealed how difficult this journey has been, she also noted how grateful she has been for the support she has received.
“Two years ago, at the very first launch of my wine brand, the humiliation, and the shame I experienced I believe God wanted me to understand the true and literal meaning of the word ASHES, not understanding then that what the devil meant for harm God can turn it to good. Two years later seeing my wine brand growing and expanding to Johannesburg, is nothing short of a miracle and I get to understand that really Ashes can turn into Beauty. Thank you to everyone who attended the Johannesburg launch and [thank you] for the support and love I have received”, Nonku shared.
This time around, Nonku launched her wine brand in the city of gold, Johannesburg where she partnered with celebrity chef and owner of the Blaque Bistro, Sizo Henna, and well-respected historian, researcher, and author Zikhona Valela.
Hosted at the Blaque Bistro, the relaunch consisted of a food and wine tasting as well as an in-depth book discussion.
The relaunch was hosted by actor and comedian Linda Majola and attended by the likes of Norma Mngoma, Zikhona Sodlaka, Robert Marawa, and DJ Tira to name a few.
Though Nonku seems to be doing well and thriving, the reality tv star revealed earlier this year that there was a time in her life where she used alcohol as an escape. That said, one can’t help but wonder if this venture is an appropriate one.
