South African actress Nomzamo Mbatha rubbed shoulders with other United Nations (UN) ambassadors on Monday, 19 September.
Mbatha attended the UN General Assembly which South African President Cyril Ramaphosa gave a skip.
Sharing with her followers what her journey as a UN Goodwill Ambassador has meant, the Coming To America 2 actress said it has been a life-changing experience.
“Saying yes to this journey with the United Nations has changed my life in so many ways. Another year at the UN General Assembly to present a film that I had the honour of making with Project Everyone, highlighting the Sustainable Development Goals.
Each of these incredible and iconic women I shared the stage with gave moving and inspiring words during the session that left the room in awe.”
Priyanka Chopra, UN Global Ambassador was also in attendance, sharing the 17 Global Goals that countries agreed to achieving.
Nomzamo Mbatha has been a UN Goodwill Ambassador since 2019, working closely with the UN Refugee Agency.
