A newly wed Pietermaritzburg couple stopped at a mall to grab some KFC after their wedding.
The evidently happily married couple were holding hands, and smiling at each other while waiting for their order.
Amused at the sight of a bride and groom in their bridal attire inside a busy mall, an onlooker approached the pair to find out what they were doing there.
“We’re just waiting for our KFC,” the bride replied.
The onlooker was probably wondering why someone from the bridal entourage didn’t go in to get the couple’s order for them.
It is quite unusual for newly weds to make a pit stop for takeout on their big day.
The couple chose to go inside themselves to place their order, instead of opting for a drive-through. It’s no secret that most couples don’t eat at the wedding.
Weddings are usually so chaotic with photographs, and dancing, that the couple probably didn’t get a chance to eat at their own wedding.
Sharing with the woman who grabbed a video of them, that they were married earlier in the day, the bride and groom then left shortly after receiving their KFC order.
