Netflix recently announced the eagerly awaited premiere of volume two of the thrilling series Fatal Seduction on August 4, 2023, bringing seven more gripping episodes to the screen.
Fatal Seduction which is based on the popular Mexican drama series Dark Desire captivated audiences in its first volume, introducing them to the intriguing world of the Mahlati family. Nandi (Kgomotso Christopher), Leonard (Thapelo Mokoena), and Zintle (Ngele Ramulondi) form a slightly dysfunctional family with hidden secrets that slowly come to light.
At the center of these secrets stands the enigmatic stranger, Jacob (Prince Grootboom), who enters the Mahlati’s lives with a mission to avenge a wrong done to his own family.
Kgomotso Christopher recently spoke to Oak Magazine about the preparations that went into playing the fiery Nandi.
“For me, I’ve never really struggled with stepping in and stepping out. But stepping in is usually quite difficult because you have to find facets that are not you, yet you must embody them, and they become you. The challenge for a performer is to step into someone’s world and be a vessel—physically, emotionally, and vocally,” explained Christopher.
From a technical aspect, Nandi goes through many different story beats. To keep track of these intricacies Christopher carried a beat diary on set to remember flashbacks and beats from ten years ago or a particular day.
