Durban Gen actress, Nelisiwe Sibiya says people who question whether she is a virgin or not have no right to know.
The actress who has been linked to Robert Marawa since splitting with her fiancé Ayanda Ntanzi spoke to the Daily Sun about the incessant prying she’s been subjected to.
“People are always saying inappropriate things especially when I’m dressed traditionally. It’s no one’s business but my family and mine and I find the question invasive and inappropriate.”
The 30-year old actress who plays Dr Mbali Mthethwa on the medical series said despite her virginity being a subject of discussion on social media previously, whenever she puts up pictures of her in Zulu attire the question resurfaces.
Being a proud Zulu girl, Nelisiwe says she doesn’t mind the compliments about how beautiful she looks in traditional garments, but finds it invasive when people look at her body and question her virginity.
There have also been a number of rumours around the actress dating a number of celebrities, and that insinuates that she’s sleeping with multiple people.
“There are evil people out there who think that they are entitled to bash celebrities. I’ve been accused of dating celebrity guys, but I’m lucky because my family understands.
I wear my clothes exactly the way I want to, but I don’t think it’s anyone’s right to know whether I’m still a virgin or not.”
