Musa Mseleku’s son Mpumelelo Mseleku, 20, and his second girlfriend Tirelo Kale have announced that they are expecting their first child together. Tirelo made the announcement by sharing her maternity shoot on social media.
Mpumelelo has another girlfriend, Vuyokazi Nciweni whom he shares a daughter with.
The 20-year-old, who plays professional football for Moroka Swallows, is one of Musa Mseleku’s five children featured in Izingane zeS’thembu. In the show, viewers gain a fresh look inside the lives of the Mseleku children, as the siblings share their struggles and triumphs of working towards defining themselves.
Mpumelelo has been open about his eagerness to carry on his father’s polygamous legacy. However, He intends to have seven wives starting with his current two girlfriends.
Speaking to Gogo Skhotheni on her podcast, Mpumelelo said that he is not dating multiple women to please his father.
“We have a lot of girlfriends and then there would be one you choose as a woman you could take home to introduce to the family. You can’t just have one girlfriend and make that girl your wife only for that person to betray you. You have to date a lot of women then choose.
“I love women. I would be lying if I said my father convinced me into being a polygamist. If I was doing it for my father, I would not be able to continue doing it. I am still going to continue. I won’t say how many women I plan to have, but they are more than my father has,” he said in part.
