Kaya 959 has learned that Moja Love TV channel has terminated its relationship with Xolani Khumalo, presenter of Sizok’thola.
The channel refused to comment on the termination and wished Khumalo all the best for his future.
In July of this year, Xolani Khumalo was embroiled in controversy after a suspected drug dealer, who was being interrogated by Khumalo and his crew, passed away under mysterious circumstances.

In response to the incident, Moja Love released a statement explaining their involvement in the matter. The channel clarified that, based on the information available to them, their crew, along with community law enforcement groups organized by the local South African Police Service (SAPS), responded to a community tip-off regarding a drug bust in Katlehong on July 19, 2023. Moja Love asserted that the information received from the community was deemed credible and verifiable, prompting their participation in the operation.
While Moja Love acknowledged that their crew was present near the premises during the questioning of the deceased at the time, they revealed they would be conducting an internal investigation to understand the circumstances that led to the individual’s unfortunate need to be rushed to the hospital.
In the wake of the controversy surrounding Sizokuthola presenter Xolani Khumalo and his crew following the mysterious death of a suspected drug dealer during an interrogation, Professor of Philosophy Lucy Allais offers insights into the ethical complexities of the situation on 959 Breakfast.
