Miss SA Mia Le Roux on her withdrawal from the Miss Universe pageant
Reigning Miss South Africa, Mia Le Roux recently shared the reasons behind her decision not to compete in the Miss Universe 2024 pageant. Due to health concerns, Le Roux withdrew just days before the final, and she is now eager to explain her choice to the nation.
In a video posted on her Instagram account, Le Roux revealed that she stepped down from the competition after experiencing vertigo.
Vertigo is a condition characterised by a sensation of dizziness, where you feel as though you or your surroundings are spinning, even when you’re not moving. It is a symptom, not a disease in itself, and can be triggered by various conditions affecting the inner ear or brain.
