The Miss South Africa pageant will return to Gauteng for Women’s Month on August 13th and will be held at the SunBet Arena in Times Square in Pretoria.
Sun International’s flagship arena, the SunBet Arena at Time Square in Pretoria, will award the winner in 2022. Zozibini Tunzi, who went on to win Miss Universe later that year, was the last Miss South Africa to win at this venue in 2019.
Stephanie Weil, CEO of the Miss South Africa Organization, expressed her delight at the prospect of bringing Mzansi’s most popular pageant back to Gauteng and holding the event on August 13 during Women’s Month.

Mzansi Magic and M-Net will broadcast live from Pretoria, while the Miss South Africa app will webcast the event for foreign viewers.
“We are looking forward to having Miss South Africa back in Gauteng and at the SunBet Arena at Time Square. It is an amazing venue to host a competition such as this and one that caters for contestants, entertainers and the audience.
“We’re also pleased to once again be holding the event in Women’s Month as the values of the Miss South Africa Organisation are closely aligned with what Women’s Month stands for,” said Miss South Africa Organisation CEO, Stephanie Weil.
