Minnie Dlamini and Boity Thulo are two of the highest paid South African celebrities on Instagram.
This according to a survey which revealed that both ladies raked in millions from the social media app in 2021.
According to Net Credit, Boity and Minnie were placed second and third after Proteas cricketer, AB de Villiers.
The survey found that Boity earned R14.11 million ($777 852) while Minnie closed the year off with R10.34 million ($567,624).
Both women have a huge following on Instagram which according to the survey is what contributes towards their rankings.
Boity has 5.8 million followers while Minnie Dlamini has 4.8 million.
Instagram accounts with over a million followers earn roughly R280 008 ($15 356) per month.
Apart from Minnie Dlamini and Boity Thulo, AB de Villiers made a staggering R26 million ($1.4 million) from his Instagram.
Ned Credit also shared some of the international highest earners from Instagram and the number one spot globally still belongs to Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo.
The striker reportedly earned R1.6 billion ($85.22 million) in 2021.
Ronaldo also holds the top spot for the celebrity with the biggest following on the social platform, with 488 million followers.
On the flip side, Kylie Jenner did not make the top ten highest Instagram earners list globally despite her being the second most followed celebrity.
This could, according to Ned Credit have to do with her fees per post and the number of sponsored posts she chooses to put out every year.
