Big Brother Mzansi (BBM) winner, McJunior Zondi thought his rival Makhekhe was going to take home the title and prize money.
The 25-year old winner of the hit reality show has spoken out about his time in the Big Brother house, and his victory saying he didn’t expect to win.
In a radio interview on Wednesday, 03 April McJunior revealed that he didn’t go into the reality show with a strategy, and linked his win to his deceptive disruptions.
“I don’t want to lie, I was also one of those people who thought Makhekhe was going to take it because he is a formiddable competitor.
I kept hearing his name in the crowd and before Lawrence called my name, I already made peace with the fact that I could be the runner-up.
But when he said my name, I cannot put in words how I felt.”
McJunior who didn’t disclose much about his relationship on the show shared that the first thing he did when he finally left the house after 3-months was call his girlfriend.
“I was very forthright about having a girl but I didn’t disclose any details about her like what she looks like, where she’s from, what’s her name, you know.
I was very ambiguous about that but I made it clear that I was in a relationship and I wasn’t entertaining nothing.”
McJunior’s reserved personality meant he was flying under the radar while other housemates were caught in scandal and being disqualified.
Apart from the R2 million prize money, the BBM winner also won 3 cheques from task money and Friday night arena games.
