Masechaba Khumalo, formerly Ndlovu’s tenure as the spokesperson for the sports, arts & culture ministry has come to an end.
In 2020, television and radio personality Masechaba Khumalo was appointed spokesperson for the former Sports, Arts & Culture minister Nathi Mthethwa.
“I am pleased to welcome Masechaba Ndlovu to the Department of Sports, arts & Culture as my newly appointed spokesperson. As a department we know that you will play an integral part in executing our motto of ‘laying the foundation for greatness,” announced Mthethwa at the time.
Masechaba Khumalos’ appointment was met with mixed reactions at the time. Many thought the role should’ve gone to a worthier candidate and not an entertainer.
This week, Kumalo announces that after three years, she is leaving space to start a new chapter.
“It has been an honour to serve in the government over the last 3 years. I leave this space, excited to begin the next chapter of my career as I continue growing in my God-given purpose. Old energy is clearing, new energy is entering & great things are on the horizon,” shared Ndlovu.
