A Limpopo handyman is accusing King Monada of failing to pay him the full amount for work on his recently finished mansion.
On 6 March, King Monada threw a lavish housewarming party to celebrate the completion of his dream home.
The multi-million-Rand double-storey in Limpopo required special installations and equipment.
Thabo Maake, claims he was hired by Khutso Steven Kgatle, better known as King Monada to instal balustrades for the balcony and stairs.
Speaking to Daily Sun, the Limpopo-based handyman said the singer failed to honour the agreement they had, over an R81 470 contract.
He claims Monada only paid him R29 000 and was supposed to pay the balance R 52 470 before he could finish the work.
According to Maake, he had to travel to Gauteng to get glass and steel to complete the structure on Monada’s house.
However, Monada had apparently arranged for someone else to finish the work that Maake started.
“I saw on Facebook that he put glass on my work, he got other people to finish my work because he doesn’t pay a lot. I had already done the hard work and someone else came and finished. I never said I couldn’t do the work.”
Maake shared with the publication
Maake says he wants the full amount from King Monada and has issued the singer with a letter of demand from his lawyer.
He says Monada failed to respond to his lawyer’s letter and Maake is now proceeding with a summons order to court.
According to the publication, Monada’s manager, Albert Makwela refused to make a statement as they are dealing with the matter legally.
