Boity Thulo is letting it go and has dropped assault charges against Bujy Sthembinkosi Bikwa.
After a heated argument between the pair in 2021 ended in a physical altercation, where Boity opened a case of assault against Bujy, it seems the two have kissed and made up.
Bujy took to his social media to express his gratitude that the ordeal is finally behind him, saying his heart is a lot lighter now that all is forgiven.
Pictures of a bloodied Boity circulated on social media in October 2021, after Bujy had allegedly assaulted the media personality and businesswoman with a bottle of alcohol.
Boity was taken to hospital as she sustained a cut to her face, during the incident which occurred at a hotel in Waterfall, Midrand.
Now, two years later, Bujy says he’s a free man, as the two have agreed to forgive, forget and move on, and put their legal battle behind them.
Taking to TikTok, Bujy shared a video apology with Boity, expressing his regrettable behaviour.
“My heart is at peace, after a legal battle that lasted almost three years, Boitumelo (Boity) Thulo and I, had a mature discussion about what happened that night.
We’ve chosen to forgive each other and she has dropped the charges against me. We are both looking for peace, we’re looking for growth, and we both learned so much about ourselves throughout this ordeal, and we had to go through with that and deal with it.
I’d like to apologise to her for my behaviour, even though I did so in person, I told her I would do a video, so here it is.
I am truly sorry, truly, to the Thulo family as well for the whole drama. To my family, for causing you so much grief.
I’m in a better position now and glad we’ve spoken about it, because it was such a beautiful conversation for us to be able to say we can now both move on.
I truly respect her for that and thank you for allowing yourself to be in that space.”

A few days after the assault, Boity’s lawyers sent Bujy a letter of demand for R1 million in damages and injuries she sustained.
Leaked audio from the night of the assault revealed both Boity and Bujy exchanging insults towards each other before the sound of glass breaking could be heard.
Boity hasn’t spoken out about dropping the assault charges against Bujy.
