Record label owner Lance Stehr responds to the allegations made against him by Zola 7.
Speaking to Mac G’s podcast this week, Lance said if there was anybody who had the biggest opportunity in the country, it was Zola.
“Zola was given everything. He had it all and yes he owned all of it.
“He had a tv show, he had equipment, he had a crew. The Cell C thing was huge.”
Speaking on the same platform last year, Zola 7 alleged that Lance has been exploiting his talent and refuses to pay him what’s his.
Addressing the allegations, Lance revealed that they had a fallout following Zola’s affair with one of the record label’s colleagues.
“Zola was having an affair with the company’s booking agent.
“She was running a parallel company next to the company and we laid criminal charges.”
According to Lance, after they refused to drop the charges – Zola 7 threatened to leave.
He notes that they had gone over and above to protect Zola 7’s image and once they stopped, he got exposed.
‘There was a team of people who were protecting Zola 7’s image.”
Lance adds that the reason Zola 7 lost his Cell C deal, which was worth millions was because he physically abused his girlfriend.
“The reason he lost the cell c deal was that he beat up his girlfriend and pushed her through the window.”
