Former Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs captain, Itumeleng Khune, remembers his late sister on her heavenly birthday.
Khune penned an unfeigned message for her late sister, saying,”Wishing my angel sister a happy birthday in heaven. I know you’re watching over us with love from up above. My heart is filled with memories of you today.”
Itumeleng Khune’s sister, Mapula Khune, tragically passed away in 2021 after a fire broke out in her home.
Neighbors alerted authorities to a fire in Ventersdorp at about 5 am on a Thursday.
“She was found in the room at the back of the home. It is just the room and bed that was damaged by the fire,” Myburgh said.
“We still haven’t determined the cause of the fire. Our forensic team was on site yesterday. They will inform us whether it was an electric fault or it was man-made.”
