Khanyi Mbau has shared an update on how she’s healing following her facelift procedure which she underwent a few days ago.
The South African actress and reality TV star who is living in Dubai, bought a new face in her attempt to find a more permanent solution to defy the odds of ageing.
Khanyi, who is turning 39 in October, went under the knife to remove excess, sagging skin from her eyelids, amongst others.
The procedure, called Blepharoplasty creates a tighter area around the eyes, and forehead, overall giving Khanyi a more youthful look, once she heals completely of course.
For now, Khanyi jokingly calls herself, “swelly” to indicate that she is still swollen and says she has a long road to recovery, which is expected to last another 5-weeks.
To help speed up her healing process, Khanyi is using Hyperbaric oxygen therapy to help boost cell reparation.
“Hello, guys! Madam Swelly here, Swelly for swollen 🤣 (week 1 post-surgery)
Today I will be going into the Hyperbaric oxygen chamber, to boost, stimulate and accelerate healing with pure oxygen, this treatment will help with the inflammation, bruising and help repair the scars.
It’s a ten treatment cycle, two a week. So this will be my past time for the next 5 weeks before I start my lymphatic face massages.
What’s great about this machine is, that you can take your laptop, phones, tea or coffee inside, while you relax and bake!
It takes an entire universe to build a beautiful woman.”
