Keke Palmer files restraining order against ex Darius Jackson

Keke Palmer has filed a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend Darius Jackson, accusing the father of her son of being emotionally and physically abusive to her multiple times.

The American singer and actress is also fighting for the sole custody of their 8-month old son, Leodis, after she claimed Darius physically attacked her whilst their child was present.

According to People US, the 30-year old shared screenshots of camera footage with a Los Angeles court, of what appears to be Darius striking her and throwing her over the couch.

Keke shares in her declaration that Darius trespassed into her home without her consent of knowledge, threatened her and physically attacked her.

The restraining order was filed on Thursday, 09 November, however Keke says this isn’t an isolated incident, claiming Darius has been accusing her for the past 2-years.

Keke alleges that Darius has struck her many times, even in the presence of their son, grabbing her by the neck and spewing profanities at her.

“There were many instances of physical violence, including striking and grabbing me around the neck, descriptions of Darius destrroying my personal property, including diaries and prescription eyeglasses, throwing my belongings into the street, throwing my car keys to prevent me from driving away, hitting me in front of our son, spewing profanities about me to our son, threatening to kill himself with a gun if I left him, harassment, and other physical and emotional abuse.”

Keke Palmer says she was not only subjected to physical abuse, but emotional and verbal abuse too. She accuses Darius of love bombing her and manipulating her throughout their relationship.

The pair’s relationship problems were highlighted in July after Darius publicly shamed the mother of his child for wearing an “indecent” dress to Usher’s concert.

Daulton who is not married to, nor engaged to the actress said he has a right to not want his “wife” and mother to his kid to show off her booty to please others.

Keke Palmer’s baby daddy was called out for publicly shaming his partner, instead of addressing his views about her dressing directly with her.

Others felt Daulton’s insecurities were revealed after a video of RnB superstar Usher, serenading Keke and holding her was picked up by a US publication.

Shortly after the incident, Keke and Usher released the song Boyfriend, which further fueled her relationship with Darius was over.

    1. Definitions and Interpretation

    1.1.“Personal Information” means information relating to an identifiable, living, natural person and where it is applicable, identifiable, existing juristic person, including all information as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013. 

    1.2  Parliament assented to POPIA on 19 November 2013. The commencement date of section 1, Part A of Chapter 5, section 112 and section 113 was 11 April 2014. The commencement date of the other sections was 1 July 2020 (with the exception of section 110 and 114(4). The President of South Africa has proclaimed the POPI commencement date to be 1 July 2020.

     
    1.3. “Processing” means the creation, generation, communication, storage, destruction of personal information as more fully defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013.  

    1.4. “You” or the “user” means any person who accesses and browses this website for any purpose.
