Kanye West confirms he is running for US president in 2024.
In a video broadcast on Twitter on Sunday, Kanye West declared his intention to run for president in 2024 and announced his choice of far-right provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos.
The rapper’s Twitter account has been reinstated after he was suspended from the service as a result of ugly, anti-Semitic remarks he made last month.

In the video, West claims that Yiannopoulos is working on his campaign.
“This is Milo right here, working on the campaign,” West, 45, says in the video posted on social media.
Is that an announcement?” one of the men asks as they both laugh.
“I guess it is,” Yiannopoulos — Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) — replies, chuckling. “Thanks, I accept.”
The cameraman then asks West, “So you are running?”
“Yes,” Ye answers with a laugh.
“It’s simple ’cause ain’t nobody can tell me, you know, ‘You should say this, you shouldn’t say that,’ you know? It’s just we’re moving towards the future.”

West’s account was reinstated prior to the transaction, and Musk, who paid $44 billion for the company, claimed last month that he was not informed of this.
After asking users, the billionaire reinstated former President Donald Trump’s Twitter account the day before.
Following the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, Trump, who also declared his intention to run for president in 2024, was banned from Twitter.
