Justin Bieber has cancelled a number of his concert dates due to his illness getting worse.
The Canadian singer who is expected in South Africa towards the end of September, shared the news to his Instagram on Tuesday, 07 June.
Without revealing too much, the Peaches hitmaker said as per his doctor’s orders he will be postponing a few of his concerts.
“Can’t believe I’m saying this, I’ve done everything to get better but my sickness is getting worse. To all my people, I love you so much and I’m gonna rest and get better.”
The 28-year old was set to perform in Washington and Toronto this week but these concerts will be pushed back to a further date.
Millions of Bieber’s fans were heartbroken at the news that the artist isn’t doing well. Justin Bieber was diagnosed with Lyme disease a few years ago.
The illness causes a range of symptoms which can last for up to a few months, with some lingering long-term medical conditions.

The “Biebs” was looking forward to his third appearance in South Africa, as part of his Justice World Tour.
He is expected at the DHL Stadium, Cape Town on 28 September and at the FNB Stadium, Johannesburg on 1 October.
“We’ve been working hard to create the best show we’ve ever done, and we can’t wait to share it with fans around the world. I’ll see you soon,” said Bieber.
Justice, the sixth studio album by Bieber has amassed nearly 9 billion streams worldwide. Arriving on the back of huge international hits like Anyone, Lonely and Holy.
