US Actor, Jussie Smollett has been sentenced to 30 months of probation, including 150 days of jail time after he was found guilty in December for orchestrating an attack on himself.
Smollett was found guilty on five of six counts of disorderly conduct, a Class 4 felony, alleging he falsely reported to police that he was a victim of a hate crime attack.

He wasn’t going to go down without a fight and decided to cause a scene after his judgement was handed down.
He began shouting and insisting that he was not suicidal, suggesting that “if anything happens” in jail, he did not take his own life.
“If I did this, then it means that I stuck my fist in the fears of Black Americans in this country for over 400 years and the fears of the LGBT community,”
“Your Honor, I respect you and I respect the jury but I did not do this.”
“I am innocent. I could have said I am guilty a long time ago,” Smollett shouted
