“It’s been a journey and a half” – Mpoomy Ledwaba set to release her book in October.
Mpoomy Ledwaba is a multitalented YouTuber, podcaster, businesswoman, wife, mother, and speaker. Mpoomy Ledwaba is preparing to make his debut as an author with the book How Did We Get Here set to release her book in October.
In March this year, Ledwaba made headlines when she presented the second edition of The Unlimited Festival at Kylami Grand Prix, with speakers Nomzamo Mbatha and Amanda Dambuza with performances by Shekinah, Brendan Praiser, and Murdah Bongz
The South African star took to Instagram to share the book’s cover and announce that it would be available for purchase in October. She also briefly reminisced about the book’s journey and revealed what fans might expect when they read it.
“Almost four years ago, that’s when I wrote the first lines of this book…. I want to say it wasn’t time, but to be honest I feared I had nothing to say….the truth is the idea of being a writer, contributing to libraries, and dare I say an author has been a dream I wouldn’t dare utter from the moment I started working at the library at Middelburg Primary school,” she wrote.
“It was too far-fetched, but I couldn’t deny my connection to words, pages and stories. Girls like me didn’t write books in 2006, or at least I didn’t know any. So in 2023, as I closed of my 20’s I decided to get naked and let the whole world see me, well, that version of me.”
“I don’t promise a fairytale, but I promise truth, cringe, laughter, relatability and sometimes far fetched….. and I will say, I am scared. Like your first day of school kind of scared… new environment, new uniform, new friends and having to introduce yourself and hope for the best…..it’s been a journey and a half, God is holding my hand like the loving Father He is,” wrote Ledwaba
