Gossip blogger Musa Khawula has broken his silence following reports that he murdered a man.
Sunday World reports that while speaking to the partner of the late Wandile Khambule, who was allegedly by blogger Musawenkosi Khawula, he revealed that the blogger “rocked up to his residence demanding to speak to Khambule.”
He said that after asking them to speak outside, he saw Khawula “running after Khambule with a big knife [and] stabbing him, he fell in front of my brother’s bakkie. He stabbed him in his chest and at the back.”
Speaking about the events leading to the death of the late Wandile Khambule on Twitter spaces, Musa Khawula recalls following the victim.
“I remember following him thinking that we are going to the car.
“We couldn’t even get to the car. He picked up a bottle and threw it at me – I dodged the bottle and all of this happened so quickly.
“He picks up another beer bottle. This time he doesn’t throw it at me. He just came and started hitting me with it. I’m blocking him.”
He says that as he was wrestling the victim, he picked up a knife to defend himself.
“I was fighting with this arm that was just being operated on. It was a knife next to the sink on the gate and I picked it up and stabbed him on his groin area to get him off me. Which was one stab (he died).
Khawula adds that after their fight was broken off, he ran to his car and drove off. “I thought if he comes back again he is going to finish me off,” said the Gossip blogger.
