Actor Vuyo Ngcukana has taken to social media to remember his late mother.
The actor shares that the 21st of May is “just one hell of a trigger” for him as it marks more than 20 years since he lost his mom.
“Grief is one hell of a thing, today I feel like I can take full breaths, it’s difficult to honor someone who has given so much and to so many people in a short space of time without feeling like you were robbed, so today is another slow release of the pain, I’m good though, the 21st is just one hell of a trigger, it’s incapacitating, I guess this is the price we pay for a great LOVE.”
Moreover, Ngcukana is “grateful” for the time he got to spend with his mother.
“Many years ago on this day my best friend, my cheerleader and my rock became my angel, the pain of losing my mother never got better, I had to get stronger, I’m grateful for the time we had together and for the lessons I would later use in life to become the person I am today.”
