Black Coffee’s highly-anticipated Podcast And Chill interview is finally available for streaming.
In January this year, Black Coffee real name Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo reached out to MacG and Sol for an interview.
This was after the Grammy-winning producer tweeted that the day his ex (Enhle) accused him of “physically harming her”, nothing was ever the same.
Speaking to MacG Coffe said it pains him that people have so many opinions about him and he can’t really say much.
“I’m always told to keep quiet by everyone. Then I’m hiding because Nathi Black Coffee is quiet. I just want to be like a normal human being.
He says in the begging it was all love with Enhle.
“You meet and you have a common goal and one of the goals is understanding each other’s pain. The fixer and the pleaser in me get attracted to someone who needs fixing. And it becomes a common thing because I think she is the same,” he continued.
“One of the things that I want is to give that dusty little boy as many hugs as I can. This is why I’m doing all the internal work that I’m doing.”
Reflecting on why their marriage failed, Nathi believes they both wanted different things.
“I can safely say that we both wanted different things. Then problems start. That’s why today I know for a fact that I won’t get married again.
“I am not in a better space in understanding who I am. I also understand the kind of pressure society puts you in without ever backing you up”
Life after Enhle
The DJ confirmed that he is currently seeing someone and they are happy.
As he is undergoing therapy, he notes that imposter syndrome has been a hindrance in his life.
“You don’t feel you deserve it and you lowkey want to destroy it before it happens on its own.
“I know the human being that she is and I feel sad for her if anything. There’s nothing to celebrate there. We walked in together knowing the kind of people that we are and the help that we needed. I feel sad and the guy who likes fixing things in me wish I could fix them for her,” said Nathi.
