Nothing compares to landing your dream job, but should you give up if you’re turned down?
Tyler Cohen from San Francisco persevered after being turned down by Google 39 times.
At last, on his 40th attempt, he got a position at Google.
On his Linkedin profile, he posted a screenshot of his communication with Google.
According to Cohen’s screenshot, he originally applied to Google in 2019 and, after making several unsuccessful applications, was finally hired after three years.

LinkedIn users praised Cohen for snagging the opportunity, and several even shared stories about their own interactions with well-known IT firms.
“There’s a fine line between perseverance and insanity. I’m still trying to figure out which one I have.39 rejections, 1 acceptance,” he wrote.
