Former Generations: The Legacy actor Musa Ngema is reportedly headed to Turfloop. The actor, popular for playing Mazwi Moroka in the drama for almost a decade, left in April – his character was killed off.
A source told Zimoja that Ngema was ‘spotted around Skeem Saam offices.’ The source added that the people at Skeem Saam were happy he was let go because it means more numbers for them. “Skeem Saam wants to surpass Generations in terms of popularity and numbers, lately they have been trending almost every day,” said the source.
Ngema was reportedly ‘shown the door’ for being ‘difficult.’ His relationship with the team was said to be ‘strained.’
Skeem Saam actress attacked by an angry fan
Actress Helen Bright who plays Melita Monama on Skeem Saam was attacked by an angry elderly fan for her character. Melita is a homewrecker who has destroyed a couple of homes in Turfloop. The elderly fan in her 60s had clearly had enough.
“She hit me in the heel with a trolley. When I looked at her, she said, ‘I did it purposely because you are stealing other women’s husbands. I swear if you do that to my husband, I will deal with you.’ It was only then that it hit me that she thought I was Melita,” said Bright whose heart sank after the incident.
