Former Bafana Bafana and Everton midfielder Steven Pienaar recently reflected on fatherhood as his daughter Aaliyah turned fourteen.
“Where did the time go, all the beautiful memories we made together, you making have sleepless nights in the beginning and helping now on my computer haha,” reflected Pienaar earlier this month.
Pienaar expressed his unwavering love for his daughter, adding, “I love you so much my angel, hope you have many more blessings because you such a loving,caring child and big sister. Lots of love.”
A week before Aaliyah’s 14th birthday, Pienaar’s youngest daughter, Kaori celebrated her birthday.
Expressing gratitude, Pienaar expressed that “God” blessed him with a wonderful gift that he has to protect throughout this journey of life. “Give me wisdom to be a good father. I’m not perfect, but I’m doing my best to be a good father and friend to my angel. Happy birthday Kaori Lu’Luwish you many more years,” said Pienaar.
Steven Pienaar is best known for his playing days at Everton in the English Premier League.
He first joined the club on loan in 2007, which later became a permanent move. His performances earned him great respect from fans and teammates alike. He also had a brief stint at Tottenham Hotspur before returning to Everton.
