Where there’s smoke there’s fire, and Minnie Dlamini seems to be in the thick of it as rumours of an affair surface.
Businessman Edwin Sodi has been blamed for Minnie’s 4-year marriage falling apart.
This after news that her estranged husband, Quinton Jones has decided to pull out of their joint business venture and proceed with the divorce.
According to celebrity gossip blogger Musa Khawula, Minnie Dlamini became cold and distant with her husband after the death of her brother in September 2019.
Two years after the couple wed in a lavish celebration which was documented in a 3-part series titled: Becoming Mrs Jones in 2017.
The couple went on to welcome their first child in November 2020 but rumours of a troubled marriage plagued the Jones’ from 2019.
Now, rumours that Minnie cheated on her husband with Edwin Sodi have been pitted as the reason Quinton wants out of the marriage.
The pair announced they were heading for a divorce in February, a day after Valentine’s Day.
It is believed that Edwin Sodi would fly Minnie and her friends wherever she wanted to go on his private jet, whilst she was married to Quinton.
Minnie shared a picture of her in the private jet in March, before her trip to France for Paris Fashion Week.
She turned off comments on the post, which further added fuel to the fire that she had been unfaithful to Quinton.
Reports suggest that Edwin Sodi’s networth is estimated at R200 million, while Quinton is said to be worth just R45.4 million.
The US-born footballer amassed his net worth from his professional football career but later went onto build a career as a director and producer in SA.
In proceeding with the divorce, Quinton is leaving the Midrand home he shared with Minnie to her so she can raise their son there.
Minnie spent most of Tuesday and Wednesday, 10 and 11 March, trending on Twitter with her marriage falling apart.
Edwin Sodi was arrested in March for allegedly assaulting his estranged wife and her male friend.
He was released on R150 000 bail after his wife laid charges of attempted murder, assault with an intention to commit grievous bodily harm, pointing a firearm, and domestic abuse against him.
